To test the Radiator SIM module after installation, you must have the
following equipment and information available:
- Diameter peering information for Radiator <--> HSS/DRA
connection:
- Radiator configuration requires Diameter identity (Origin-Host
and Origin-Realm) that identifies Radiator to the other Diameter
nodes
- The IP and port of Diameter peer Radiator connects to, this is
the HSS/DRA IP address and port
- TCP/SCTP (transport protocol) the peering uses
- DestinationHost and DestinationRealm can be set initially to
choose a HSS/DRA to send the request to
- See more information from example configurations in
goodies
directory, for example
goodies/eap_aka_wx.cfg
- Certificate for Radiator if Diameter peering uses TLS
- Radiator can use TLS but doesn't require it
- Radius client, such as WLAN controller or stand-alone WLAN Access
Point, settings
- Radiator needs to know the IP address and the shared secret so
that it knows from where the Radius requests are received.
- A test device(s) with a SIM card that's known to HSS
- Android devices can be configured manually. Apple devices need a
profile that can be built with Apple Configurator software available
on Macs from App Store.
