Run “ODBC Data Source Administrator”. For more information about locating it, see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188691.aspx Opens in new window
  1. Select “System DSN” tab and click Add.
  2. Choose “SQL Server” if there are multiple choices, choose something like SQL Server (for example, Version 6.03.9600.17415, SQLSRV32.DLL, date 10/29/2014)
    • Name: Radmin
    • Description: RAdmin radius database
    • Server: (local) from drop down menu did not work. Interface name worked (you will see this after authentication dialog)
      If drop down menu gives nothing, check you have "SQL Server Browser" started and running from SQL Server Configuration
    • Manager. Click Next
    • Authentication dialog: Choose “With SQL Server authentication using a login ID and password entered by the user”.
      Use Login ID: radmin and Password: ra+9+9dminpw
  3. Click through with Next while checking the options. “Test Data Source” should succeed. If not, check server, password etc.
